ISO 37301 Compliance Management System (CMS) is a management system standard that defines and gives guidance for creating, developing, implementing, assessing, maintaining, and constantly improving a compliance management system (CMS).

ISO 37301 is applicable to all organizations, regardless of size, type, or complexity of operation. CMS is founded on the values of honesty, good governance, proportionality, openness, accountability, and long-term viability.

Consistently upholding compliance requirements is a need, not an option, for firms looking to expand and achieve long-term success. Organizations are given a set of tools (policies, processes, and controls) by a CMS built on the specifications and recommendations of ISO 37301 that enables them to create and uphold a culture of compliance. Organizations that use an ISO 37301-based CMS adhere to excellent corporate governance, good practices, and ethical behavior. The CMS, on the other hand, cannot totally remove the possibility of noncompliance. In this regard, the rules and advice of ISO 37301 strengthen the organization's capacity to detect and respond to noncompliance.
